In his role as expedition doctor, Georgios traveled to Tanzania and joined a group of individuals who aspired to reach the summit of Kilimanjaro. Kilimanjaro stands at 5895m and is Africa's highest mountain. All team members undertook the climb in support of their chosen charity, while a number of them had underlined medical conditions themselves. This resulted in a much tougher challenge and reaching the summit became an even more spectacular individual achievement. Under Georgios' daily medical and scientific guidance, all participants returned back home safely and all but one made it to the summit of Kilimanjaro.
