In his role as expedition doctor, Georgios joined an international group of travelled to eastern Antarctica. Besides a series of planned activities on land and at sea, such as zodiac cruising, glacier camping, hillwalking, cold water diving, kayaking and nature photography, it gave the opportunity to all those involved to observe and document the glaciers and icebergs, as well as the marine and terrestrial wildlife. They also witnessed the impact of climate change - even this remote and isolated continent hasn’t been spared.
